Can someone who knows about Macs please help me?!?

Ok, i transfered via Bluetooth from my mobile to my macbook ten photos that i took last night. They showed up in "finder" but disappeared once i'd viewed them - where have they disappeared to though??! They're not in iPhoto, or if they are i can't see them. Does that mean i've lost them? Thanks, i'm really confused and upset to think i may have lost them.
