How do i extract from my HTML document on a Mac?

I just created a flash player and exported it as an HTML file. I went in to my finder and clicked the html file and it came up online. I want to be able to copy and paste the HTML from this file. What can i do to the HTML document to make it where i can view the HTML code so i can copy then paste it online?
