What books should I read this summer?

I can't find anything that interests me. I usually like fiction books that have some romance and action in them. Why does my husband never believe me?

My husband and I have been married for almost 6 months, and I'm not sure why but he has a problem with not believing me :( and we argue almost all the time. Am I being paranoid or are my worries justified?

I live alone in an appartment that's in a bad neighborhood (strip club and crackhead motel beside it yards away) and about three weeks ago someone tried to break in through the window. My upstairs neighbors scarred him off but ever since then I have been extremly paranoid at night. By paranoid I mean I usually don't get to sleep before 3:00 in the morning and when I do try to sleep I sleep for a few minutes at a time and then im up at every slight noise. That usually goes on until it is daylight outside. Then I go into a deep sleep. The hospital diagnosed me with paranoid schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and an anxiety disorder. To tell a little about my past mental state, earlier this year when I was not on meds I was convinced that members of my family where trying to murder me. Then I would have psycotic episodes involving me thinking a monster was entering my dreams and controling my actions. I honestly don't know if this paranoia I am experiencing is reasonable. I am on heavy psych meds right now and night is the only time it happens. I have resorted to desperate mesures to get to sleep and all any of it does is sidate me. That includes pot which does not make me paranoid but lazy and xanax that is not mine. The only thing that can make me sleep is if I take 2 or 3 mg of xanax with my five psych meds. Is this something my doctor needs to know about or is a moove needed. Also other than this I am doing very well with my mental state so that is why I am hesitant about telling him.

I am so sick of pimples and blackheads. I've tried use biore strips for blackheads, but they don't work on me. I wash my face two or three times a day, i use acne gel on my face, and i drink TONS of water. But the pimple and blackheads keep appearing. How can I lighten my hair?

Ok, so my hair has been through a lot. My hair is naturally black or very very dark brown, last summer I dyed it to a brown color, then I continued to dye it to a more reddish brown color....around january of this year, I dyed it a beautiful red color from Garnier its called R3, its especially made for dark hair but then I dyed it black and I hated it. I went to alot of salons but they said i HAD to strip my hair which i refuse to do.....so I went to sallys and bought "one n only color fix" It worked amazingly but left my hair a suuuper light brown color, so I bought a red color from revlon but it darkened my hair to a dark dark brown with just a hint of red tones. I used the color fix again and I left it on for just a few mins...and dyed it another red color from loreal which ...long story short --- my hair is now a burgundy color... Its definatley not black but its not the red I want... Is there a way to get it a nice auburn color with out bleach? Please help

Telescope - the mirrors?

Hey so basically have got a 114EQ Newtonian telescope, in the daytime i tested it out by looking at tree's/far away objects in the view finder and then looking through the eye piece at them closer up and it was working fine, went out tonight to view the stars, just about managed to get a star in the middle of the crosswires in the view finder but pitch black in the eye piece, the only thing i can think of is a problem with the mirrors, or is it something else? many thanks

I'be bought some 'Now Slim Strips' ... they are paper thin sheets (like that chewing gum you used to be able to by) that dissolve on your tongue... your meant to place one on your tongue when you feel like snacking and it suppresses you hunger.. there are no precautions on the packaging or their website about the effects on the Contraception.. Fixing headset? will this work?

I have a turtle beach earforce x 11 headset for xbox360. The wires were cut clean in half near the actual headset, so If i cant fix it they are junk. If I strip the wires a bit, and then find each individual wireset (there are 4 wires (each surrounded in copper) in the black coating) and sauter them together individually, will they work? or should I do something like splice each one with a dual connector? the problem with that is the bundle would be HUGE compared to normal, but if it works is that a possibility? How / Where can I get a healthy pet mouse / mice?

I hear bad things about both pet shops and breeders. Mass bred, health issues, little human contact, so on and so forth. Where am I suppose to buy a healthy pet mouse? I realize health issues are possible no matter where mice are adopted, but I'd like to avoid it as much as possible. I've tried Craigslist for the past few months, but surprisingly, no one has had any available here in Maine. I've also tried Pet Finder but there is none around here. And no mice rescue in Maine that I can find (only rat rescue). So where am I suppose to find a healthy Fancy Mouse? (I'm actually going to be getting 2 females).

So I woke up this morning and I discovered I had bites (similar to mosquito bites) all over my abdomen, back, hips, sides, and groin area. They itched extremely bad, and I ended up counting well over 25. I'd really like to know what cause all these bites. I just stripped my bed to look for bugs (and to wash the sheets) but even after looking with a magnifying glass, I didn't find anything. What could this be?

My mom wants to return a cat she got from a foster home where she was mistreated and kept in a cage what to do?

Recently I asked my mom to adopt a local cat who was fostered by some people in a foster home. She was mistreated and abused, kept in a cage all day long I think they only let her out of the cage once a day and the rest of the time she was in the cage. She had no freedom whatsoever at that fosetr home also the foster mom of the cat was feeding a ridiculosly low portion of food to this poor cat. Apparently the foster mom gave her only one can of wet food a day (half in the morning the other half at night) and the cat came to us so skinny the cat is ridicuosuly skinny even though she's already a year old. And she eats so much here she asks for food like very often I think because she was very hungry before where she was at the foster place for cats. Even though she eats a lot when she's now here she's still very skinny. My mom now thinks it was a mistake to get this cat because she has done some mischeif in our apartment so she is thinking of returning her to the foster home. The cat has peed on my bed, my grandma's bed and she did a bowel movement in my daughters bed. But however the reason she did that is cause she was kept in the rooms for a long time and no one knew and she had to go and her liter was not there so it's not her fault what was the cat supposed to do if she was stuck in a room for a long time without her liter box hold her bowels? I have no idea why my mom is blaming the cat for what she did.It's not the cat's fault she just had to go to the bathroom and was stuck in a room and no one knew so she went in the bed I mean she couldn't hold it so what was she supposed to do in this case? My mom does not like the cat's behavior and wants to return the cat back to where she got her. However I feel sorry for the cat and I know she did not have a good life there and do not wish to return her. If she returns there they'll lock her back into a cage and mistreat her and feed her poorly and I do not wish this kind of life for the cat. She is also already used to our environement and I am afraid if she is put back to where she came from it will be very stressful for her and she might have a heart attack and die. Really this cat has been through enough as it is and now she's lucky she at least got a home and I do not want her to loose this. If we never adopted this cat I doubt anyone else would. She's lucky, if not for me finding her on pet finder and adopting her she either would have stayed in a cage for the rest of her life or if no one took her they would eventually eutanize her and put her to sleep so I kind of saved the cats life but my mom said that she wants to give her away back because she peed in the bed, also she says my daughter fears her a little. Also she said she does not like the cats behavior, the cat jumps everywhere, on kitchen tables and all that and she tears up furniture and couches with her claws and teeth, my mom does not like this and wants to return this cat and get a kitten instead. She also wants a kitten but fears this cat will not get along with a kitten so she wants to get rid of the cat because she wants a kitten and fears them two wont get along, I however want to keep the cat, I am feeling bad because she might die if they lock her up again she got used to a home and if thats taken away from her and shes locked back up in the cage she might get so stressed and have a massive heart attack. Also she has a bond with me and she rubs against me and purrs she really likes me a lot and I am afraid she'll have a heart attack if she is taken away from me. What to do? Yes, I have tried several different teeth whitening products. I think the white stripes weaken your teeth, mine became very sensitive to the heat and cold. Besides, they taste horrible and take a long time to work. I found my personal favorite to be listerine's total care plus whitening to be the best. Not only are my teeth obveously whiter (yes it took several weeks, but well worth it) but they are also stronger too:) I definitely recommend the listerine over crest white strips.

What can i do to reclaim wasted space in our tiny yard?

If you think of a box when you come out of the house into the back yard, to the opposite end and dead center is a stone fireplace that's been there forever. we do use it and enjoy it. to the right and coming up from the back there is maple tree, then the garage door and then the gate to the driveway. On the left is our daughter's swing set. there is some open green space in the middle that the kids use to play and run around. off the house is a deck and patio. back on the left there is an extra strip that goes back maybe 30 feet and is probably 10 or 12 feet deep. towards the front of that space is a big tree (over 100 years old) that we would never cut, but the roots make it impossible to grow anything. and because it is "around the corner" it never gets used. any suggestions on what we could do to make it functioning usable space?

Is there a way to repair my ac adapter?

Input is 120v, Output is 9v. Someone was running across the room and snapped the cord in half. I could probably strip the plastic insulation and twist the wires back together. It snapped close to where the "black box" is. The black box part plugs directly into the wall. I was trying to strip the plastic part off, when I saw a spark when I exposed the wires. So I'm assuming there is still a charge inside the "black box". So, I left it alone. Is this not a safe thing to do? Should I assume there is still a lot of electricity inside of it? Grinding in the rear end of my car?

i have a trans am ws6 automatic pretty much stock except for my rebuilt tranny that has changed shift points, flowmaster exhaust, slp lid and nitto 555r drag radiails. with a professional driving and on a actual drag strip its suppose to run a 4.9 sec 0-60 and a 13.5 sec 1/4 mile stock. well i did the 0-60 test on black top and i got 5.5 sec but i only did it once. idk the 1/4 mile but i do know that my car is a bit slower on take off. i run a 0-100 in high 11 to low 12 sec. so im guessing my car will run the 1/4 mile in stock time if not a bit faster. well the thing is ive had a grinding in my rear end since i got it and im just gonna replace my stock 323 gears to 373. plus ill have to get a programmer to calibrate the speedometer and ima change it to where instaed of shifting at 6000rpm it will shift at 6500rpm hoping to get a bit more power. i also have 3 inch long tube stainless steel headers i want to put on but not sure if i will get to. but will i notice a difference with the different gears and the changee in shift points? if so how much would be your best guess. im wanting to know the performance difference cuz i alrede know gas mileage will be worse. and would the headers really help or just change to sound?

I LOST A VERY IMPORTANT FILE PLEASE HELP ME!?

To begin, I have a very important literature project for school over the summer, and have been working very hard on it. Yesterday, I was very happy because I was almost finished with it. I knew I would be working on it later, so I saved it a few times (I'm cautious) and shrunk it down so that it sat on the right hand side of my main homescreen menu bar. Same as usual. Well, I went to the Apple store a few hours later to figure out why I had used all my computer's memory. The assistant was very nice and explained I needed a backup hard drive, which is what I expected. While he was searching through my computer, he went to the "Permissions" area and had the permissions checked. Apparently things were all out of whack and this arranged them back in order. When he finished, he turned my computer off. When I realized I had still had my reading report shrunken down, I didn't worry too much because I know for positive it has been saved, today and several times earlier that week. When I got home, I turned my computer back on, and everything was same as normal. I went to Pages to open up my document, and IT IS GONE. I have no idea where it went-I checked in "My Documents" my user files, in spotlight, in finder, in my recent activity-EVERYTHING. Any other documents i've ever made are still there, it's just this one, particular document that is missing. How can I get it back? I don't have enough time to redo the project! PLEASE help me! Would two Surge protectors be better to protect my phone line?

my computer and electronics are plugged into two surge protectors under my desk, one for the computer and one for the networking so that way neither strip has a ton of stuff on it. One of the protectors my phone line is plugged into it and the other is just a regular surge protector. I live in an area where we can get some pretty wicked lightning and the phone lines get hit a lot, so I was thinking maybe I should replace my second surge protector with another one that has the phone line protection and then have the phone line protected on two surge protectors rather than one, so then there is a much better chance nothing will get hit. Will this work like planned or is it possible the two protectors may slow down the signals or something? I want to make sure so then I don't get another protector and find out oooh this really cut down my phone line strength or something.

I have all of the outlet spots of a power strip filled and then some? Is this safe?

You know a power strip that allows you to plug multiple outlet plugs into it to power multiple electrical appliances.The power strip itself is attached to an extension chord that is plugged into a wall outlet. The six appliances that occupy the six outlet plugs are my computer (tower), my monitor, computer speakers, power plug for modem/router, then I switch off one of the outlets between a lamp and printer (I have ran out of outlets so this is how I use both). The last outlet on this power strip is occupied with another extension chord which is attached to yet another power strip. On this other strip, I have a 36 inch flat screen t.v. plugged in, an alarm clock, a DVD player, and a 120 watt guitar amp (I don't always have the guitar amp on obviously but when I do I don't remove any plug). I hope you have already guessed that in this room there are no wall outlets, which is of course why I do all of this. I guess I'm trying to ask, IS THIS SAFE! I actually really think about it when I'm switching the one plug between my lamp and printer (don't want to get shocked), or when I'm playing my guitar (afraid of damage to amp). My leg was crushed, Should I be worried?

I Was buckling my infant in her carseat, When a driver pulled up WAY to close right next to me. My car door was wide open and I think she realized her mistake, She started to reverse out of the space and nearly half the time Im screaming and yelling at her to stop because my left leg is crushed between the open car door and the inside of my car as metal to metal scrapes. I was installing a depth finder on my boat when it started smoking. I know that electricity runs on smoke so when the smoke is released, it stops working. Help!! My betta fish is sick or going to die soon I think!!?

Well, I'm afraid that tomorrow morning I'm going to find a dead betta fish in my tank because my betta is just sitting at the bottom of the tank, looking lifeless. He is not lying on his side or anything. I've also been noticing that during these past few days, he has a short and thin white strip of skin going down his head, and most of his face looks more whitish'. It looks like it is hard for him to breathe because he is breathing with really deep and exaggerated breaths. He also looks bloated and it also looks hard for him to swim around, especially swimming upwards to get air or eat. In fact, he only moves when he swims up to the surface for some oxygen. Even when I made some loud noise or movement, he didn't react to it at all!! My betta is a fish that gets scared really easily and now, its like he's deaf! Actually I don't even know if fish can be deaf...do they even have ears? well never mind. Please, please, please, can anyone out there on the internet please help my poor betta fish?!!? Every time he goes up for air, he comes right back down to literally lye down on the bottom of the tank again!! He just looks so lifeless and I miss the fish that was so energetic and spazzy!! On a side note, I am heating the water right now but that does not seem to be working....hopefully it will work later on though. I even tried giving him some food but he didn't even notice it!! The lens you bought screws onto the filter treads of a lens already attached to your camera. Screw on lenses like that are complete garbage and will give you distorted images. If you want a fish eye lens, buy a real Canon lens.

Yes, I have tried several different teeth whitening products. I think the white stripes weaken your teeth, mine became very sensitive to the heat and cold. Besides, they taste horrible and take a long time to work. I found my personal favorite to be listerine's total care plus whitening to be the best. Not only are my teeth obveously whiter (yes it took several weeks, but well worth it) but they are also stronger too:) I definitely recommend the listerine over crest white strips.

I know it's bad to wash your hair everyday because it can strip your hair of its natural oils, but that's really only the sulfate-filled shampoo right? So if I follow this new "no shampoo" regimen I've heard about, where you only condition your hair b/c it doesn't strip your hair of its natural oils, will washing my hair everyday with just conditioner be alright?
